Who Are Those Guys?

The discussion as to just who these Dodgers are and what they will become by season’s end has been a spirited one.  As they trudge down south to face the Padres, these questions remain relevant: What is the best 25-man roster this team can put out there?  And what position(s) may be in need of a deadline-trade infusion?

      • Hey, one hand washed the other. You taught me how to place a picture. So I’ll tell you how to combine pictures: select a section of your photo with the lasso tool…go to select/modify/feather and type in a value of about 30 or 40. Hit delete and you photo now has a gradual fade. Overlap photos and the different pictures will flow into one another!!! 🙂

        • That was a lot of tree trunks…I couldn’t even lift the mower up and put it into the golf cart now. Man I was in good shape back then. After mowing, I’d walk 18 plus with my clubs.

  1. I’m looking forward to navigating my way around with that lasso tool later…

I’m certain I can squeeze any and everybody in, that goes yard tonight?

  2. Hope Cody takes advantage of his opportunity at 1B so that AGone can have a good long rest.

If you look at the Punto trade, we got a helluva lot more production out of the players we got than did the Sox, but was it worth the money, including the luxury tax?

As far as I’m concerned, they can trade AGone for a bag of peanuts if someone will take his salary, or a reasonable prospect if the FO is willing to eat a lot of the contract. Ready or not, Bellinger is a helluva lot more fun to watch.

I’d be inclined to trade Joc also for some pitching. We’re looking 2019/20 before we see Urias, Buehler, and Alvarez in the rotation full time. I’m not seeing anything after Kersh right now that’s to write home about. Toles/Puig can handle center well enough to make up for Joc’s average defense. Hell, I’m willing to see what Verdugo has. I’ve seen enough of Joc. He sucks. He’s Jerry Sands that got a full time gig.

    • Yeah. He lasted all of 2/3 of an inning at Rancho yesterday. 3 hits a walk and 4 ER – and he was happy with his outing.

Don’t look at me, I didn’t want the guy to begin with.

  4. Agon on the DL. What a surprise. At least we have 10 days to dwell on what should happen next. If Bellinger continues to hit well and field his position, (and assuming no injuries occur) management will figure out how to keep Agon on the DL. This next few games could say a lot about the future.

  5. The Beav’s reference to Wally Pipp made me laugh. I’ve almost made the comparison of the situation a couple of times but didn’t. That’s too much to expect from the kid, but a very talented left handed power hitting first baseman cashing in on his chance to play does make you think of Lou Gehrig. Can you imagine the amount of money that guy would have made in today’s market?

  6. I think Gonzalez will eventually return to the line up and produce, Bellinger returning to the outfield.
Utley I wonder about. I’m not eager to give up on either of them, but they’ll have to start to produce. That’s why we got Gonzalez in the first place and I think he’ll come around, Utley I don’t know about. We should know shortly. Maybe he will be coaching from the bench somewhere in the organization. I’d keep him in some capacity.

  7. I missed Bellinger’s 2nd HR. I’ve been hitting the sack about 1:30 AM ET and checking in the morning for the final score. I’ll stretch it out if the game is nearly over.
I don’t feel tired at night but it’s the mornings that are killers. I go to bed at about 10:00PM when there’s no game.

    • I’m 2 hours behind you Oldbrooklynfan and it happens to me too. I go to bed at dark. Sometimes that’s 5pm sometimes it’s 10pm. I do have a tv next to the bed though. I close my eyes and listen quite a bit.

  8. Kahli this Adobe thing is kinda complicated…

    I was using PicMonkey before…

I’ll eventually figure it out 😉

I’m trying to put Bellingers bobblehead on Tommy’s horse, then put the horse in the water, swimming towards the boat babe…

Oh and the horse should be shooting a big rooster-tail of baseballs out the back end…

If I get that far…I’ll figure out what to do with bobblehead #2!!

    • I’ve manage to cut and paste…(it took me an hour to figure out how to get it out of Adobe and onto the blog)

      It’s a start.
