Where Have All the Pitchers Gone?

sung to “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”

Where have all the pitchers gone, Kershaw, Ryu, Anderson?
Where have all the pitchers gone, FAZ lost them all?
Where have all the pitchers gone?
Other teams signed the healthy ones.
Oh, when will FAZ ever learn?
Oh, when will FAZ ever learn?

Where have all the good ones gone, Greinke and Cueto?
Where have all the good ones gone, in the offseason?
Where have all the good ones gone?
Gone to division rivals everyone.
Oh, when will FAZ ever learn?
Oh, when will FAZ ever learn?

Where have all the prospects gone, Cotton, Montas, and Holmes?
Where have all the prospects gone, at the trading deadline?
Where have all the prospects gone?
Gone for shitty players in return.
Oh, when will FAZ ever learn?
Oh, when will FAZ ever learn?

Where have all the hitters gone, Manny, Kemp and Ethier?
Where have all the hitters gone, inconsistent offense?
Where have all the hitters gone?
The farm system was never stacked with position players.
Oh, when will FAZ ever learn?
Oh, when will FAZ ever learn?

Where have all the championships gone, fifties, sixties, and eighties?
Where have all the championships gone, long time ago?
Where have all the championships gone?
We don’t have GMs that know how to conquer them.
Oh, when will the Dodgers learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the sane GMs gone, Bavasi and Campanis?
Where have all the sane GMs gone, these analysts are bad?
Where have all the sane GMs gone?
Only the O’Malleys knew how to pick ’em.
Oh, when will the Dodgers ever learn?
Oh, when will the Dodgers ever learn?

Where have all the pitchers gone, Kershaw, Ryu, Anderson?
Where have all the pitchers gone, FAZ lost them all?
Where have all the pitchers gone?
Other teams signed the healthy ones.
Oh, when will FAZ ever learn?
Oh, when will FAZ ever learn?

I’m a Criminal

by Josh Reddick – stolen from Paul Reddick and the Sidemen

I`m a criminal
Want to swipe and steal
I`m a criminal
But never on base that’s the deal
I`m a master of nothin’ and a jack of shit
FAZ made a bad deal

Oh I`m a criminal
I’m like a rented motel room
I`m a criminal
Cheaper by the week
I can’t hit a lick
I did in Oaktown but not in LA

Missing all my hits from yesterday
Still Doc hits me cleanup
Dreamin’ about the lineup
After the game I’ll get away

Oh I`m a criminal
I’m like a rented motel room
I`m a criminal
Cheaper by the week
I can’t hit a lick
I did in Oaktown but not in LA

Rally Mummy

Rockin’Rally Mummys got a bat song, come on y’all, sing along.

Let’s rap! Lets rock! Let’s roll! Let’s go-let’s go-let’s go…

We gonna stop digging a hole, it’s time to show, the whole world, what our cryptic bat rap can truly bestow…

Rockin’ Rally Mummy has a bat song, come on y’all, sing along…

Let’s rap! Let’s rock! Let’s roll! Let’s go-let’s go-let’s go…Let’s rap! Let’s rock! Let’s roll! Let’s go-let’s go-let’s go…

99 GM Buffoons

Hey there pull up a chair,
And I’ll sing a song we’ll share
About 99 buffoons
They’re a buncha ex GM’s .
If you think they know what they’re doing
You don’t know the name of this song
99 GM buffoons
Each of them is worse than the next and Ned

99 buffoons
They’re a buncha ex GM’s.
People think they’re analysts that know
So a Wall St. exec
Signed ‘em all up so they can work
But they just sit and circle jerk
So they try to build the team
99 inept buffoons.

99 GM buffoons
Each one came from a different team
They all thought they were Billy Beane
Then came lots of old players
The fans they don’t like the PVL’s
And felt like they were being hi-jinxed
So they shot through the blogs
At 99 buffoons.

99 inept GM’s
Draft guys that need a Tommy John
They thought they were clever people
So jazzed that they could win the division
Called for more and wanted power
Man, who would’ve thought
They’d destroy the team the way they’ve done
Because of 99 buffoons.

99 years without a ring
Left no room for any fans
The Dodgers aren’t on TV
And even Vinny’s hanging it up
Today we all wonder why
The Angels and Gnats are better
I saw Colletti on the street
Pulled off his mustache and toupee.

Addicted to Winning

OK D4 for the approval of the Dodgers society, Dem Bums and the ITD alumn;
its a start, feel free to edit

Addicted to winning

Im a major league Ball player on the Dodgers
Why I am on this team I do not ponder
Sometimes I hurt, sometimes hit the ball out of the park
I like wearing the Blue and I always hope I start
Because I am addicted to winning, it always the best feeling
Yes I am addicted to winning, it always helps the healing

Another city on the road Lets go for a sweep
Put me in the game so I can compete
Keep the line-up moving and get those runs batted in
Soon the ninth inning and I want to win
Because I am addicted to winning, it always the best feeling
Yes I am addicted to winning, it always helps the healing

I practice every day in hopes that I get to Play
I dream of a walk-off, just like every day Dre
My glove has no holes, Im accurate when I throw
Put me in the batter box, smack, watch that baseball Go
Because I am addicted to winning, it always the best feeling
Yes I am addicted to winning, it always helps the healing

I like my teammates, we always have fun
We back each other up before the game is done
Discipline at the plate, or diving near the fence
Kershaw’s curve for strike 3 can really be intense
Because I am addicted to winning, it always the best feeling
Yes I am addicted to winning, it always helps the healing

We are never down as long as we have another inning
Walk or hit, the Dodgers are ready, playing like it is just beginning
Steal a base, sacrifice the runner forward, and then there is the big blow
Took the lead, and more to come, and with the win comes the glow
Because I am addicted to winning, it always the best feeling
Yes I am addicted to winning, it always helps the healing

Pinch Hitter Hopes

Sung to “High Hopes” by Frank Sinatra
with apologies to song writers everywhere

Next time you need – a pinch hitter to hit
There’s not many who can, they are all shit

Just what makes that old Mark Sweeney
Think he’ll he’s not just a weiney
Anyone knows that he, can’t
Get a hit when I can’t

But Joe had high hopes, pinch hitter hopes
He had high apple pie, and blue sky hopes

So any time your gettin’ low
‘Stead of sayin’ blow
Just remember Sweeney
Oops there goes another pinch hitter weiney

When Colletti calls, and picks up a Velez
A hitless wonder named Eugenio

Once there was a silly Donnie
Thought he could manage a Dodger team
He put in Eugenio to hit
Thirty seven times

‘Cause he had high hopes, pinch hitter hopes
He had high apple pie, in blue sky hopes

So any time Roberts feels bad
‘stead of feelin’ sad
Get your friend Will
Say go get a hit Venable

All problems are the Guggenheims
They’ll be busted soon
They’re just bound to go pop
Oops there goes another owner kerplop

Cause he had high hopes, pinch hitter hopes
He had high apple pie, in blue sky hopes

Ah Look at all the Kids that play

Ah Look at all the Kids that play
Under 25 on the Chavez Ravine field
Joc, Corey, Trayce, Julio and Yasiel
Drafted or acquired they want to be the real deal
They learn from the veterans they replace
They please the coaches and management at a quick pace

Ah look at all the Kids that play, although not everyday
Ah look all the kids that play, soon they will get veterans pay

They throw the heat, they are quick on their feet
Errors and mistakes they create, but learning is their fate
Swinging for the fence is fun, but situational hitting is how it is done
Soon they will learn their raw talent can’t carry them through
It takes preparation and practice on everything they do

Ah look at all the Kids that play, although not everyday
Ah look all the kids that play, soon they will get veterans pay

Adrian, Chase and Howie too, give the kids a talking to
They can see their time is coming and what else better to do
Soon September call ups will be here, and today’s kids will see how far they have come
In Playoffs they will have no fear, because they have carried the team all year
Soon all the fans agree Let the Kids play at the Ravine

I’d Like to Give our FO an Enema

I’d like to give our FO an enema.
They are so full of shit.
I’d like to see the Guggs sell the team
To someone who knows baseball.

I’d like to see Vin on TV
But the Guggs only care about the bottom line.
I’d like to see a World Series victory
Sometime before 2099.

I’d like to trade ol’ Adrian Gonzalez
To someone for a dozen good prospects.

Dugout in Harmony

Id like to see the dugout in harmony
No squabbles with Puig to see
No injuries, swollen knee and all are pain free
On the bench Turner can jaw at Grandal
But on the field somebody has to call for the foul ball
The Dodgers as a team are not living the dream
Although FAZ is trying to make it seem
We all know this is not the real thing

Little Puiggy

Sung to “Piggies” by the Beatles

Have you seen our little Puiggy
Crawling in the dirt?
And for all us little Puiggy
Life is getting worse
Always having dirt to play around in

Have you seen the bigger Puiggy
Ever throw to the cutoff man?
You will find the bigger Puiggy
Stirring up the dirt
Always has to run through e’ry stop sign

In his styes with all their backing
He don’t care what goes on around him
In our eyes he’s something hacking
What he need’s a damn good whacking

Everywhere there’s Yasiel Puiggy
Living a Puiggy life
You can see him out for dinner
In his Puiggy dives
Clutching forks and knives to eat his bacon

Dreamin’ of a Home Run
By the RuPaul Five (Howie Kendrick, Carl Crawford, Yasiel Puig, Justin Turner, and Adrian Gonzalez)
Sung to “Leavin’ on a Jet Plane” by Peter, (Ru)Paul, and Mary

All my bats are packed, I’m ready to play
I’m wonderin’ how to hit again
I would hate to wake up and realize……….

Carl’s back is breakin’, it’s early spring
And Howie’s waitin’ to pick a glove
Puig’s swing has got so many holes that I could die

So kick me and hit for me
Tell me that you’ll pay for me
Hold me like you’ll never let me goooooooo

‘Cuz I’m dreamin’ of a home run
I don’t know when I’ll be up again
Oh, Dave, please put me in

Oh-oh the Ginger Man can’t hit no more
A-Gon’s at bats are a fuckin’ bore
Utley and Seager are left out on base without a score

Every time I hit, I don’t give a shit
Every time I “K”, I “K” for you
Because I’m here you’ll never get a Series Ring

So kick me and grin for me
Tell me that you’ll pay for me
Hold me like you’ll never let me goooooooo

‘Cuz I’m dreamin’ of a home run
I don’t know when I’ll be up again
Oh, Dave, please put me in

Now the time has come get up to bat
One more time with my wussy bat
And close your eyes and I’ll hit into a DP

Dream about your re-org to come
I’ll be at the bank a-countin’ my cash
I didn’t have to perform after I signed

So kick me and hit for me
Tell me that you’ll pay for me
Hold me like you’ll never let me goooooooo

‘Cuz I’m dreamin’ of a home run
I don’t know when I’ll be up again
Oh, Dave, please put me in

And I’m dreamin’ of a home run
I don’t know when I’ll be up again
Oh, Dave, please put me in

But I’m dreamin’ of a home run
(Ha ha ha ha)

Welcome to Dodgerland

Great game by Kershaw. Growing up, it seemed like Koufax had at least ten strikeouts every time he pitched. Now we find that his maximum consecutive number of such games was four, which Kershaw just exceeded. No other Dodger ever accomplished that feat. I expected a group of midgets in Dodger uniforms to appear and start singing:

“We welcome you to Dodgerland, Tra la la la la, la la la, la la la…
From now on you’ll be history.
You’ll be his…, you’ll be his…, you’ll be history.
And we will glorify your name.
You will be a bust, be a bust, be a bust…
In the Hall of Fame!”

To Puig or Not to Puig?

To Puig, or not to Puig? That is the question—
Whether ’tis nobler in Donnie’s mind to suffer
The missed cutoff men and hurtful TOOTBLAN’s,
Or use the inflamed arm of Scott Van Slyke,
And, in this platoon, sit Puig? To win, to quest—
No more—and by a quest to say we end
The heartache of a twenty seven year drought
This team is heir to—’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished! To win, to triumph!
To conquer, perchance to dream—ay, there’s the rub,
For in that wish of victory what dreams may come
When we have stifled the wild horse’s over-exuberance
Lest we shall think. There’s the respect
That could give Vin Scully one more championship.
