    • Thanks crash…I’m alone at home, trying to care for myself and the dog, so hopefully my pain is just from being active. Yesterday was the first day in two weeks I was opiate free. I needed some help this morning in that area, but I’m conscious of the pitfalls and am trying to shed them. Maybe tomorrow.

  1. Wood did not pitch bad yesterday. The gnats bunt really well. Enough said. Now lets hope the Dodgers got a good nights sleep, and come out swinging. If Stipling beat out Lee and Frias, then let him show why. Going up Cain, who use to have some SUCKess vs the D-boys, but now he is worn, let see what he has left. Im still trayce thompson over Carl Crawford. start the win streak! Go Dodgers!

  3. Carl plays three games, defends left field for 17 innings, and develops a stiff lower back. Need to check our predictions about when he goes on the DL:

    crash24now: May 1st
    trublu4ever: April 11th

Tru could win this one, which would make me happy to no end.

    • Hi’Ya Nelly. How’ve you been?

Yea, what a shock. I think we are better off with him on the DL.

So far Stripling looking good. I hope he doesn’t melt down like Wood.

      • I’m doing good! Can’t complain too much these days! How are you?

I’m looking forward to seeing Trayce get some quality playing time!

Stripling is looking good!! …,and we are up 2-0. I spoke too soon yesterday at school when we were up 3-0. I’m not doing that again – lol

        • Doing well out here. Keeping busy and looking forward to summer and warm weather.

I also would like to see Trayce get some good playing time. Hell, I would like to see anybody rather than Crawford.

Anyway. Let’s hope Stripe and the bullpen can make this lead stand up.

  4. Looking at the gameday, it appears HP ump Kellogg has shrunk the strike zone even more since Roberts got tossed. Rat B*stard!!

  5. Some of MLB Network people think the decision to pull Stripling came from management….not Roberts. Either way, that really sucked for him, but what a debut performance! Hoping that kind of pitching from him continues.

  6. Figured a lot of us geeks would comment tonight. I’ll take the blame for the loss. I was out all evening, came home, went to my computer (notice I didn’t say TV), saw the no hitter going on…and then BAM! All within 30 seconds.

My take? Hindsight is 20-20, so I don’t blame Roberts. Rookie pitcher coming off TJ surgery hits 100 pitches in his first major league start on a cold, rainy night. But for some reason Friedman and the boys have been trying to shoehorn Hatcher into the set-up role. How’s that worked out the past year? But the real classless, amateur, sour grapes, embarrassing act was Hatcher blowing up at the ump over balls and strikes. Seriously? Is this guy a professional? If I was Roberts I would have called time out, walked slowly to the mound, and told Hatcher to get his sorry a** loser attitude into the clubhouse. A professional pitcher knows he’s going to mess up. Yeah, it’s tough giving up a gopher ball and ruining a rookie pitcher’s night. Get over it. Act like you belong on the mound in the 8th inning of a big league ball game.

  8. Tough game last night. You have to figure the Dodgers would have been happy to get 5 innings out of Stripling but he messes up everything by throwing no hit ball far beyond while his team nurses a two run lead. Too bad the Dodgers left the bases loaded without scoring in the 8th.

And can we stop wondering what Donnie would have done even if in jest? Roberts has enough problems.
